Rice and noodles
are staple food in many Asian cuisines. Whether fragrantly fried, smothered in
seductive sauces or basked in broths, both of these must-haves have since
become comfort food for many of us Asians.
Throughout the month of March, the team of chefs at Coffee House, Sunway
Putra Hotel Kuala Lumpur have decided to go multicultural with a selection of six
noodles and rice dishes cooked in various styles. Prices start from RM25.00++ per portion and available on a la carte
basis.
To start with,
take your pick from our selection of hot and delightful noodle dishes. It is a
must to try our Japanese noodle ala Thai called Tom Yam Seafood Udon, served with New Zealand mussels, prawns and
fish balls cooked in spicy Thai broth or our very own Putra Prawn Mee - yellow noodles served with bean sprouts, prawns,
egg and fish cake slices. If you are in favour of dry-based noodle, indulge in Seafood Mee Sua where fine strands of
vermicelli-like noodles are stir-fried with prawns, squids, chives and bean sprouts
topped with strands of omelette.
If diners choose
to have a meal which consists of complex carbohydrates, our medley of rice is ideal
for that energy boost. Satisfy your taste buds with refined taste of Indian
cuisine, the Aromatic Chicken Briyani, where
fragrant long grain rice is cooked with cubes of tender, spice-marinated
chicken and served with dhall, papadam, cucumber & carrot pickles. If
diners wish to explore Thai food, the Thai Pineapple
Fried Rice (stir-fried
steamed white rice with egg, vegetables, pineapple cubes and
prawns served with Thai marinated chicken skewer and mango-papaya salad) is a popular
dish combining a mélange of sweet
and spicy flavours. Diners will not be disappointed with our
traditional ‘kampung’ dish, Fried Rice
with Salted Fish (stir-fried steamed
rice with egg, green peas, chicken meat, salted fish and deep fried prawns with
cucumber and pineapple acar or pickles). The aroma will definitely stimulate
one's appetite.
